Here, the&nbsp;<strong>picturesque villages<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>isolated farms<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>undulating fields<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>sparkling water<\/strong>&nbsp;form a living tableau. On these heights, the&nbsp;<strong>sheep and cows<\/strong>&nbsp;graze peacefully, in total tranquillity, offering a bucolic scene that looks like something straight out of a postcard. But be warned: in Aveyron, distances are not calculated in kilometres, but rather in journey times: with its winding roads, you have to allow for&nbsp;<strong>about an hour<\/strong>&nbsp;to reach the gorges, especially if you're discovering the region for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"les-gorges-de-la-truyere-un-joyau-naturel\" data-block-type=\"core\"><strong>The Truy\u00e8re Gorges: a natural jewel<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">The&nbsp;<strong>Truy\u00e8re gorges<\/strong>sculpted by centuries of erosion, form a spectacular landscape where nature seems to have surpassed itself. The river Truy\u00e8re winds its way through&nbsp;<strong>imposing cliffs<\/strong> This is a world of lush forests and historic bridges that seem to stand suspended in time.
