No kidding and more to the point between<strong> Hourdel Point to the south<\/strong> (not to be missed) and<strong> Le Crotoy or rather<\/strong> <strong>Saint Quentin en Tourmont to the north<\/strong>. The Bay is formed by a river: <strong>the Somme<\/strong> which flows into <strong>la Manche.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-5b7a549\" data-block-id=\"5b7a549\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">But one of the special features of this Bay is that<strong>It is joined by the Maye river arriving from the north,<\/strong> which in the end forms an interlocking double estuary giving it its great size. tide<\/li><li><strong>Les molli\u00e8res<\/strong> are only covered by the sea during high tides.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-341c8b2\" data-block-id=\"341c8b2\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\"><strong>It's easy to see why the Bay is so important for wildlife<\/strong>. On the one hand, we have a double encounter between freshwater and seawater, which will generate an ideal environment for a whole category of fish (bass, plaice, dab, herring, etc.) Unfortunately, we have observed a loss of 80% of fish stocks in 30 years in the Bay. (Roe Deer, Foxes, Rabbits, Mouflons... )<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-c701bb6\" data-block-id=\"c701bb6\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">As I said earlier, <strong>Whether you're an amateur or a professional nature photographer, you'll find what you're looking for, and given the size of the region, there's something for everyone.<\/strong>! \ud83d\ude05 If sometimes you find the time long, <strong>there is also an interesting flora on this coastline<\/strong>. (Iris, Sea Buckthorn, Lychnis, Centaury...)<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-407211a\" data-block-id=\"407211a\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">You'll find a plethora of photo courses all around the Bay by various providers.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-eee68fa\" data-block-id=\"eee68fa\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">If you don't want to waste any time locating good photo spots, you can always turn to well-known reserves such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baiedesomme.fr\/lieu\/1-14-parc-du-marquenterre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parc du Marquenterre<\/a><\/strong> or even <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reserve-grand-laviers.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Grand-Laviers Ornithological Reserve<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block-heading--v2 stk-block stk-efe4873\" id=\"1-quest-ce-quune-photo\" data-block-id=\"efe4873\"><style>.stk-efe4873 .stk-block-heading__bottom-line{background-color:var(--theme-palette-color-2,#a6003c ) !important}<\/style><h2 class=\"stk-block-heading__text stk-block-heading--use-theme-margins\">The Bay is a protected site<\/h2><div class=\"stk-block-heading__bottom-line\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Since 1999, the Bay has been one of the most beautiful in the world and has been classified as a World Heritage Site. <strong>\"Baie de Somme Nature Reserve <\/strong>covering almost 3,000 hectares. The Bay is also part of the <strong>Marine Nature Park<\/strong> <strong>des estuaires picards et de la mer d'Opale created in 2012<\/strong>.
