Seeing beyond the weather<\/h2><div class=\"stk-block-heading__bottom-line\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-29ba4f2\" data-block-id=\"29ba4f2\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">Many still associate 'good photo weather' with clear skies, soft light and a perfectly coloured sunset. But this clich\u00e9 (no pun intended \ud83d\ude1c) deserves to be deconstructed. The weather shouldn't just be tolerated or endured. It shapes the mood, tinges the image with a particular emotion, gives life and sometimes rhythm to the shot.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-78b98b1\" data-block-id=\"78b98b1\"><style>.stk-78b98b1 {margin-bottom:50px !important;}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">It imposes a tempo, sometimes slow and heavy in summer, sometimes fast and fleeting in autumn winds. Learning to deal with it means learning to feel the world before capturing it. Why not try to convey this in our photos? <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block-heading--v2 stk-block stk-f0dc7de\" id=\"2-photographier-sous-la-canicule-la-beaute-de-linconfort\" data-block-id=\"f0dc7de\"><style>.stk-f0dc7de .stk-block-heading__bottom-line{background-color:var(--theme-palette-color-2, #a6003c  ) !important;}<\/style><h2 class=\"stk-block-heading__text\">2. Photographing in a heatwave: the beauty of discomfort<\/h2><div class=\"stk-block-heading__bottom-line\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-89ef229\" data-block-id=\"89ef229\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">In summer, the extreme heat transforms everything. The ground cracks, the foliage withers, the air becomes palpable. It's a visually rich world, but one that I think is too often neglected \ud83e\uddd0.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block-heading--v2 stk-block stk-0b82838\" id=\"lumiere-dure-contrastes-affirmes\" data-block-id=\"0b82838\"><h3 class=\"stk-block-heading__text\">Hard light, strong contrasts<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-fca46ec\" data-block-id=\"fca46ec\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">Midday light, so often avoided, becomes a raw material. It creates sharp shadows, sharp lines and sharp relief. The sky sometimes becomes veiled in dust, the sunset redder and denser. To immerse myself in its rhythms. Think series, think season<\/h2><div class=\"stk-block-heading__bottom-line\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-a7a212f\" data-block-id=\"a7a212f\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">It's fascinating to build series around the elements, or even around a specific piece of weather. A series on \"heatwave days\", for example, could capture that silent tension of frozen, stifled landscapes, that harsh light that transforms everything, that sensation of time standing still. \ud83e\udd14<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-aac4b5f\" data-block-id=\"aac4b5f\"><style>.stk-aac4b5f {margin-bottom:50px !important;}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">Each season can become a creative cycle. Conclusion: a photo, a climate, a memory<\/h2><div class=\"stk-block-heading__bottom-line\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-6c7f8e2\" data-block-id=\"6c7f8e2\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">So that was my thought for the day, a moment of photographic philosophy! \ud83e\udd13 By learning to photograph with the elements and not against them, we open ourselves up to a more organic, livelier, freer kind of photography. You stop looking for the perfect weather. We enter into a relationship with what is and what surrounds us. I think that's something that's sorely lacking in our society these days.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-9ab37d2\" data-block-id=\"9ab37d2\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">Let's make the weather our ally, it's not a backdrop but a protagonist. The next time you're out photographing in harsh light, in sweltering heat, don't run away (but stay in the shade as much as possible \ud83d\ude1c). Feel. Breathe. Observe. Maybe the photo will come.
